Raising Arizona - Can the Right Community Organize?

Sure seems like this Arizona law is a polarizing thing.  One side wants to enforce existing law. They apparently had to pass a law in order to enforce existing law, which is kinda like walking into a restaurant and having to order a menu...
Anyhow, the other side.. well... is against enforcing the law.  What's the rational argument for that?  Raaaaaaaacim! I suppose. So if you are a certain race, certain laws don't apply to you?  Which other laws?  Which races?  Who decides?

Well I guess if you are mayor of a city in California, you think you get to decide.  What is their argument to justify boycotting a State?  Racial profiling?  It's been specifically defined and outlawed in the law.  Beside, do these people know how many people of  latino descent live in Arizona?  Legally?  Can you really picture cops going around harassing people for looking tan- in Arizona?  They'd pass out in an hour from their heads spinning.

So, the crazy left, who run local governments in major (financially failing) cities around the country are boycotting Arizona. Directly protesting States Rights and enforcement of law.  In direct opposition to the will of most of America.

Well, they've identified themselves.  So we have two things to do.  One, support Arizona.  I'd love to hear ideas how, BTW.  We need to absolutely Defend The Rights of the people of that State to enforce the laws of that State, that serve the will of the people in that State.  Second... Boycott LA!  Boycott SF!  And track other groups that are attempting to deny Arizona their people's will, and Reverse Boycott them.

We conservatives are on the right side of this one.  I honestly can't even understand a rational discussion of the other side.

Obama Interview. CBS needs to wipe it's chin

How do you handle being so awesome?

Oh my.  Why- not everybody's being nice to the President!  How can that BE?!  He's so wonderful- the newsman told me so!  How can anyone disagree with him???  The newsman just told me his main problem is people being mean to him!  Because he's so wonderful.  The news said so.  And those radio people - they're crazy.  The newsman said so.  Those crazies must want to stop people from getting healthcare, because Obama just fixed it completely.  The news said so...

And the last 8 years were completely civil and polite politically, because the Democrats are wonderful people! And liberals were just exercising free speech like in the 60's! The news said so....

Actually they just kinda ignored the vicious left of the last 9 years, didn't they?

I am afraid to post this among anyone who might see...

Thank you PRESIDENT BUSH.   You kept us safe.  You did what you thought was right and pressed on despite despicable treatment from Democrats and the press (one and the same I guess).  You will be respected by history.  Thank you.

GET OUT THERE! VOTE! GO JOHN! GO SARAH!

Well,

I see the reputable polls have the popular vote by 2-6% .  The State GOPs are finally airing ads about Rev. Wright.

The "bankrupting coal" story is coming out- against the wishes of the mainstream media of course.

Headlines have been carefully crafted to discourage Republican and Independent McCain turnout for months- but it's still  close.

Here's why I think we can win this thing- I doubt that the percentage of people AFRAID to admit they're voting McCain is ONLY 6%.

Personally, I don't think it's racial.  I think it's because Obama supporters are SO RABID and fired up that at least here in VT if you admit you don't support Obama you WILL be confronted with an angry debater.  Of course Obama's race may be part of why his supporters are so emotionally vested in him.  It's unfortunate, that should McCain pull this off it will be called a Bradley Effect due to race, rather than the intimidation of a cult-like following causing the inaccurate polls.

The KEY is to get out there and Vote.  Remember, the press doesn't want you to! Go Vote! Go SARAH!  We got this thing if we just show up.  Get your friends and family out for McCain.  GO SARAH!

If McCain Wins- What Will Liberals Do?

I recently posted this on a liberal music board I frequent:

Hi Everybody,

I'm starting a relocation company, to help all the good liberals keep their word and actually move to Canada.

I'll charter a biodeisel train, serve only organic food, and merlot. There will be freight cars to transport their Volvos and Prius'. Each woman will get a gift voucher for one free abortion upon arrival, so she can exercise her reproductive rights right away. The walkway off the train will be lined with American flags, which my clients get to keep after walking on them, and each comes with a lighter - to burn the flag, and light the Canadian hash that I'll have waiting for them.

How much would you pay for such a service? I'm currently only in the market research phase. I'm thinking of calling it "Northern Lights Earth Trips for Social Justice in Democracy" Thoughts?    ::

Feel free to forward this on.  I won't make anyone sign a non-disclosure.

The LA Times Jumps Obama Shark

steve.braun@latimes.com <steve.braun@latimes.com>

Steve,

As you probably know your article
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na-palinreligion28-2008sep28,0,3643718.story?page=1&track=rss
is exciting Democrats all over the country because of the quote by Phillip Munger claiming Sarah Palin said humans and dinosaurs coexisted.  Outside of this quote there is nothing out of the mainstream I read about her beliefs.

So- did you know that Munger hosts a blog called Progressive Alaska and is an anti-Republican operative?  If so, should that not be disclosed?  If not, how could you not check your sources?  Or do you not care as long as you can damage one candidate's chances for victory versus your candidate?  I googled this man and saw within 10 seconds that this was a political move in favor of the Obama campaign.

Furthermore, if the most dirt you can dig up on Sarah Palin is a (dubious) quote from a political enemy, she must be pretty clean.  Would your paper publish an Obama hit piece based on a quote by Ann Coulter?  That is what you have done to Palin.

Your article is a sham, and your bias is unbelievably transparent.  This is not journalism, it is campaigning.  Campaign for Obama all you like, but don't try to pass it off to the gullible masses as news. Try winning on ideas and truth.

Palin's Experience, or For Liberals- "Reality 101"

OK, I think most folks in America can agree that according to what we see on network and cable news, Obama is a strong candidate for President of the United States.  And Palin is relatively inexperienced to be Vice President.  It's interesting to see interviewers directly parroting the Obama campaign in this regard.  Well, no- I guess we expect it by now. But can Americans outside of the Obrainwashed left actually believe this premise?

Let's get this out:  Senators don't become Presidents.  Governors Become Presidents.  Fact. Palin is a Governor.  Hello?  How can media portray a Governor as less qualified than a Freshman Senator?  One who has no legislative accomplishments that any Democrat spokesperson can articulate?  I know how the heavily Democratic media can do this- but how are they not laughed at in their face?  I've seen several interviewers skunked when they tried the "she's so inexperienced" talk track on knowledgable folks at the RNC.  Newt ate one reporter for lunch when asked about her "inexperience".  The reporter literally "hung up" on him and ended the interview because he was going to have no choice but admit Obama has less relevant experience.  Guiliani did the same thing.  And they were talking off-the-cuff.  The truth. Common Sense.  The Democrats conversely sound like they're reading off a list of advertising slogans: Bush's 3rd term, worse off now than 8 yrs ago (not their fault of course), evil corporations ruining the middle class, the rich are bad bla bla bla.

Don't Democrats talk about such simple facts of politics?  It's so obvious- Senators rarely become President.  Governors become President.  W Bush was a Governor.  Clinton was a Governor.  HW Bush wasn't, and didn't win reelection.  Reagan was a Governor.  Carter was a Governor.  So for better or worse, it's clear as day that a Governorship is breeding ground for Presidents.  How can Democrats, and especially those in the media, try to convey that it's not?  Of course linking the Democratic thought process to reality is difficult for me.  I would describe my viewing experience of the conventions this way:  It's like watching the History Channel after watching the Sci Fi Channel.

No You Can't. The Empty Promise of Obama.

Something has been driving me nuts this election.

It's not just that I'm starting to respect Hillary Clinton's fightin' spirit (what's this world coming to?).  Nor that the Democratic party has two candidates who, even at first glance, are obviously unqualified (relatively new Senators- never run nothin'.  At least the GOP has an old senator.  Really old.  I digress...).
It's the giant pink elephant in the room that Senator Obama's campaign keeps feeding.  How can it be that not one reporter has ever asked:

Who has Barack Obama ever "UNITED"?

Like in his speeches, and I've heard it chanted from members of his flock here in liberal Vermont.  Left and lefter? It's widely recognized at this point by most sane folks that he attended a separatist church. Which is fine. Honestly, if the black community wants to go to a black church where they hear anti- Semitic, anti-white and anti-America comments- great.  But is that the environment an American President grows from?  The Rev. Wright issue isn't about words, as it's been framed in speeches -and of course MSNBC.  It is about his beliefs, which he clearly shared with his congregation, which they clearly approved of (see YouTube).  This was Obama's community for 20 years.  Who is feeling united by that message?

Media-speak has re-defined criticisms of politician's statements as "attacks". Not all polititians, mind you. (just the current example on my home page as I write this- http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080520/pl_nm/usa_politics_mccain_dc_5 )  while Obama "defends" himself from the mean Republicans and acts shocked, just shocked that he's in politics.  For addressing Things He Actually Said (Iran is tiny? "Yes I would" meet with terrorist dictators... )  If one is a Messiah, floating above any issues of disagreement (like appeasement, which is a shoe that fits like a Birkenstock), how is he ever going to unite anyone?  Can't talk about his policies, or his wife.. or his middle name... or ... forget it.  I guess he just can't lower himself to talk with Americans.  Let's bus in some Cuban, Iranian and Syrian contingents so we can have meaningful discussions!

I don't feel United with Senator Obama or the American left when he and Nancy Pelosi attack our standing President for a perceived slight in his Israel speech, which may or may not have been directed at him, but would be true if it did.  Uniting would mean appealing to those not already on the far left, right?  As a conservative how does his untouchable attitude make me feel included?  My opinions are all one big "attack" from this Republican Playbook I keep hearing about (where does one subscribe?). That's as  far as Senator Obama and the tingling appendage of the Democatic party called the Media are concerned.

If one can get through an Obama speech, shaking off the chills, wiping away the tears of ecstasy, or breaking out the smelling salts for that matter, and distill his policy ideas, what's there?  Sounds to me like plain ol' class envy leftist liberalisms.
My fellow liberals, I'll get YOU what THEY have. No You Can't.

You can't even unite your own party.
